Well, here we are

Every blog needs a first note, and every first note is a bit awkward. This one is mine, so let's get it over with.

I've been meaning to have a place like this for some time. This is not a portfolio (at least not for now), nor a social feed, just a corner of ye ol' internet where I can dump the things I think about and sporadically share with people in chats that scroll away endlessly. Somewhere between ten years of writing software and the last stretch of herding AI tools into doing it for me, I've piled up a fair amount of half-useful knowledge and a fair amount more opinions. Neither had anywhere proper to live.

So now they go here.

What to expect¶

Honestly? A bit of everything that I happen to feel comfortable to share, and not on any schedule.

• Bits and bobs. Small things I've learned along the way, either good or bad.
• Tirades. Opinions, some snark, the occasional grumble about the state of tech and the world around it. There be dragons.
• Homelab notes. There's a very sneaky Raspberry Pi 4 in my house quietly running more Docker services than it probably should. Things break, I fix them, sometimes I even write down how.

I'm Portuguese, English is my second language, and I'll try to write the way I talk, or think, whatever my neurodivergent brain provides. If a sentence comes out a little crooked, that's probably why; otherwise blame Claude or any other AI that might do a first pass over my posts to make sure I'm still understandable.

What not to expect¶

No comments section, no newsletter pop-up, no tracking, no "subscribe for more"; will have to train my influencer muscles much more before anything like that'd happen! If something here makes you want to reply, email me. If you want to know when the next note shows up, the RSS feed should have you covered.
